New Videos from Customer Service

13 12 2011

Our Customer Service Department has been busy as always. One of their recent projects has been putting together some new videos to help you familiarize yourself with some of our new products and troubleshoot some common problems.

New Product Videos:

We have also added a whole slew of self help tutorial videos on all of our train sets found on the Lionel product finder. For example-

6-31960 (this has set up basics, troubleshooting, lubricating & maintaining the loco, how the CW-80 operates and a message about the CSPC requirements for the air whistle volume.)

You can see all of them here; http://www.lionel.com/Products/Finder/ProductDetail.cfm?ProductNumber=6-31960&expandBranch=0&Keywords=6%2D31960&CategoryID=0&RailLineID=&CatalogId

Go to the lower hand corner of the text and click on “Instructional Video” to find all of the videos.

Here are a few more – just added!

Powermasters, ZW-C’s and a few more product videos on the new AT&SF Northern, H16-44 and S-2 will follow later this week.

Of course our Customer Service team stands ready to help you in any way we can. Hopefully these videos will give you one more option, especially during this busy season, and may just save you the hassle of packing and parting with your trains for a few weeks.

As more videos are completed, they will be added to the main website at www.lionel.com  We’ll also keep you updated here!

Good stuff, by chance do you have a photo of a H16-44 with the shell off? Lionel number is 6-28838.

Absolutely! If you go to the customer service tab on our website, you can search by product number. It’s a long link to cut and paste, but I think this is what you’re looking for: http://www.lionel.com/CustomerService/ReplacementParts/index.cfm?doAction=productPartFilter&number=6-28838&productID=1F1A6134-C751-41EB-B63EF748BB2326F3&CFID=45136655&CFTOKEN=bb4e566dc75e418b-89C35AA3-E474-CFA3-11EC9C4F76A8EFE5&jsessionid=843069aaed62851d62685131521026531b4d

I was hoping for one with just the shell off with the internal components in place. Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2014 20:19:54 +0000 To: hobbytowntraintech@hotmail.com

This engine required a new motherboard and smoke unit. Both have now been installed however it does everything but move. I don’t have any photos like that available. Your best bet is to give our Customer Service representatives a call and perhaps a tech can walk you through your repair to see what might be wrong. Or you arrange to return the locomotive for service. The number is 586-949-4100 Thanks!

Thanks for the prompt response. I’ll give that a try but I had been told by Michael Regan that repair stations were not allowed to call in.
