Heritage Set

6-30213 Norfolk Southern Heritage Freight Set

Our new Heritage Freight Set includes everything you’ll need to get started. A GP-38 diesel leads the colorful consist. The locomotive is decorated in the brilliant orange and black colors of the original Norfolk Southern railroad. The paint scheme is a great fit on this model. The engine also features:

  • Transformer Controlled Forward / Neutral / Reverse
  • RailSounds RTR including diesel engine revving, horn, bell and operator-activated crew dialog
  • Dual Motors
  • Metal Frame
  • Working Directional Headlights
  • Dual Operating Couplers
GP38

The GP-38 looks great in this bright scheme.

The locomotive has plenty to pull. A Pennsylvania high-cube boxcar, Jersey Central tank car, Conrail covered hopper and lighted Norfolk Southern caboose complete the heritage train. All of the cars feature operating couplers and metal trucks (sprung trucks on all but the caboose.) There are operating doors on the boxcar and metal railings, frame and ladders for the tank.

Top it all off with a 40 x 60 inch oval of FasTrack and a CW-80 transformer and you have everything you need to bring Norfolk Southern’s history to your home. The set retails for $409.99. But if you’re still looking for more, check out these new add-on cars…

The Lackawanna ACF 2-Bay Covered Hopper looks strange without a road number.

What about offering the ACF Center Flow 2-bay Covered Hopper in the Norfolk & Western scheme with the N&W in the Circle or “Hamburger” logo and the NW Norfolk and Western late 1970’s scheme. Some are still operating on the Norfolk Southern.

A 4-bay coal hopper in NYC lightning stripes ?? No such car ever existed. Why not produce a model of a real car instead of a mythical car? If authentic realistic engines are made, why not authentic realistic cars also? Would be nice.
